Party Meatballs
Ingredients
2 large potatoes | |
2 large onions | |
2 bacon rashes | |
1 kg mince meat | |
500g sausage meat | |
1 medium granny smith apple | |
2 eggs | |
1 pkt hamburger seasoning or onion sauce mix | |
2 tsp. curry powder | |
2 tbs. sugar | |
1 tsp ginger | |
1/4 tsp. mustard | |
1 tbs tomato sauce | |
salt & peper to taste | |
plain flour & oil for frying | |
Method
Peel and dice potatoes & apple. Finely chop onion. Place potato, apple & onion in a small saucepan, cover with water and simmer until tender. Strain, mash and allow to cool.
Chop bacon finely. Lightly beat eggs.
Place all ingredients in a large bowl and mix well. Form into bite sized balls, roll in flour and fry in hot oil. Drain on paper. Alternatively bake in oven until cooked.
Note: Will freeze well and are delicious cold.
